Akubueze Best Behavior Awards

Welcome To ABBA AWARDS Website!

There were changes to the entire program due to the global health crisis. Some categories were entirely online and gatherings were limited to the Panel of judges and PR officials. However, the changes are short-lived. We hope to modify the rules when it is safe to do.

The ABBA Award is a Character-Driven award. In whatever category involved, you must understand that A Good Christian Character is an indisputable and formidable matric upon which any action or work is evaluated and based. The Character behind each action must be motivating and inspiring as well.

Concerning the current session on the quiz category, the Panel and entire team did a great job. They worked hard to make the Quiz a fair one for everyone. We must be proud of them, you know! You would remember what was said earlier on that “everything that constitutes a great read will be considered.” That’s how it played out. Plagiarism doesn’t make a good read at all.

I was taken aback by the results I received. Some of the brilliant texts that I read, sadly, didn’t pass the plagiarism test. I even saw the worst kind of copyright infringement that copied other people’s works, word-for-word, organized them like dice, and presented them as their own works.

Oh no! You can read people’s works but you have to use your own words to say what you understood from what you read. You don’t have to copy word-for-word. That’s theft, it’s corruption, illegal, a sin before God, and an insult to the Holy Spirit living inside of you.

Let the Spirit of God work through you, and write through you because you are unique, you are important, and you must have your say. You don’t have to be like every other person. Just be YOU and do YOU.

I also realized that some people went the extra mile to handwrite their answers on Paper with ink, and submitted a photographed copy of their works.

In this digital age where everyone is impatient and easily gives up or makes excuses, these persons looked beyond their limitations and used what they had to get what they wanted. To be fair and just to them and to everyone else, it would be wrong to handle Plagiarism with kid gloves.

All the main points are here on this Platform and that makes it easier for everyone. But you must flesh out the points with your own words. Period!

Please, avoid PLAGIARISM because it robs you of all points. There’s no need to grade a prose that you did not author.

Congratulations, to everyone who contributed irrespective of score differences. And it’s never too late, anyway!!! Take correction and get ready for the subsequent sessions.
